Group drinker P-4

Automatic group drinker for free-stall goats and cattle on farms and pastures. Float valve maintains water level continuously. Optional heating (P-4 version) keeps water from freezing down to –20°C — powered at safe 36V via a step-down transformer from 220V. Heating cable for the supply pipe is included. Manual heating on/off. Drain plug and drainage hole included for easy cleaning. Manufacturer: MPLAST (Ukraine).

Installation steps

Draw up an installation plan
Inspect the drinker externally — do not install if damaged
Run power (220V) and water supply lines per the plan
Prepare the floor: level, fill cracks, prime. Pour a concrete base 150–180 mm thick, extending 100 mm beyond the drinker footprint on all sides
Mount and secure via anchor bolts through the designated fixing holes only — no drilling, cutting, or filing of the body
Connect water supply using a ¾" 90° elbow fitting for convenience
Adjust the float valve to set the desired water level
Connect to mains using double-insulated cable (VV, VVG, PVS or equivalent); crimp connectors sealed with heat-shrink tubing (included)

Electrical protection

220V circuits: 5A fuse (20×5 type)
36V circuits: 15A automotive fuse (19 mm)
Transformer thermal cutout: trips at 85–95°C, resets at 55–65°C
PE earthing wire must connect to the protective earth circuit on a separate wire — never to the neutral wire

Safety: heater runs at safe 36V, but the junction box carries 220V — dangerous to people and animals. Do not operate if protective earthing is absent or faulty, or if power cable integrity is compromised. Never run the heater without water in the drinker.
